Pets with Cancer

As you know, I lost my beloved Bailey to cancer last year and have been on the proverbial mission to find out more.  I am working in the field of pet nutrition.  A series just started which is currently free that I recommend watching.  Part 2 is very good.  Understand though that not everything is as it appears.  But, this is a good intro to pet food. Try this link and if it doesn’t work – let me know.

Canines with Cancer

I recently abruptly lost my beloved companion, Bailey, to cancer.  The three dogs in this picture all died within 6 months of each other from cancer.  A prevalent occurrence in this breed and several others. I had no knowledge of it.  My research and studies in the arena of Human Nutrition has led me to see correlations between human foods that can help fight cancer and also in the canine cancer population.  It is predicted that within the next few years over 50% of our senior dogs will be diagnosed with cancer.  There is more research being done today than ever before on cancer in our best friends.   Herbs are being successfully used to prolong the life of our dogs with cancer.   One site that has information you might want to check out is PetMD.  Consider making your dog’s food at home.  The preservatives, additives, flavoring, etc in our commercial foods is putting our canine’s health at risk.  Cancer fighting foods for dogs (organic when possible):

  • Premium, quality grass fed healthy protein/meat
  • broccoli
  • cauliflower
  • kale
  • carrots
  • modest good quality fat
