Vitamin C is a major antioxidant. It has been shown to promote collagen strength, healthy blood vessels and fight viral infections. Vitamin C exists in two forms – either ascorbic or ascorbate acid. Ascorbate is more easily absorbed. Vitamin C, being water-soluble, and the fat-soluble Vitamin E are important antioxidants. Studies have shown that both vitamins are much more effective when they are taken together. Vitamin E comes in various brands.
