Osteoarthritis is the leading arthritis affecting adults. Few if any doctors mention nutrition to help this affliction. I attended a seminar at a major hospital on the topic of arthritis and joint replacement. A top doc reported on the Top Ten – top 10 – things a person can do for this disease that affects over 27 million with osteoarthritis alone. Having done my masters thesis on nutrition and joint replacement, I was shocked that not 1 of the top ten — not 1 out of the top 10 — mentioned nutrition, food, or diet. Nutrition is a key – Top 10 – factor in helping to control pain and recovery from surgery. I know, as I have tested it on myself after 2 joint replacements.
